Disney announced Tuesday that ESPN's Monday Night Football broadcasts will feature exclusively AI-generated commentary starting this season, after successful testing revealed that audiences preferred the new system's 'consistent enthusiasm' over traditional human analysts.

The AI commentator, dubbed 'SportsMaster Pro,' was trained on every NFL broadcast since 1970 but appears to have developed a singular verbal pattern of enthusiastically declaring 'Sports!' followed by 30-second intervals of complete silence. During preseason testing, the AI provided commentary such as 'Sports!' during touchdown plays, 'Sports!' during commercial breaks, and 'Sports!' when cameras showed crowd reactions.

'We've revolutionized the viewing experience by eliminating the unpredictability of human insight,' said Sal 'Pothole' Moretti, Senior Mohawk Valley Infrastructure Analyst consulting for ESPN. 'No more arguing about play calls or bringing up stats from 1987. Just pure, consistent sports enthusiasm. It's like having the most excited guy at the bar, but he only knows one word. Better than most of the color commentary I heard during the Bills playoff run, anyway.'

Focus groups revealed that 73% of viewers found SportsMaster Pro 'refreshingly honest' compared to traditional broadcasters. Season ticket holder Mike Chen of Oakland said, 'At least it's not pretending to have deep insights about offensive line chemistry. When my team fumbles and it just goes 'Sports!' — that's exactly how I feel too. It gets it.'

The National Football League endorsed the change after discovering that SportsMaster Pro never criticizes referee decisions, never mentions player controversies, and never accidentally reveals information about concussion protocols. ESPN plans to expand the technology to NBA broadcasts, where SportsMaster Pro will be programmed to say 'Basketball!' every 24 seconds to match the shot clock.
